02 Japan "zen" 膳 JAPAN antique vintage tableware lacquerware try
A tray painted with a technique called Chinkin. The type of bird drawn in each is different. Sixteen species in all.
Each piece has a different expression, making it a one-of-a-kind item.
Because the size is small, it is useful as a plate for each plate and a confectionery plate. You can use it even if you serve food directly.
"Oshiki" came to be called "Oshiki" because in the past, the leaves were folded and used instead of tableware.
“Chinkin” is one of the representative decoration techniques of lacquer crafts, in which a pattern is carved on the lacquer surface with a knife and gold leaf or gold powder is pressed into the marks.
I'm looking forward to thinking about how to use it according to my lifestyle.
