data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eその細い棒を髪に挿すことによって魔を払うことができると考えられていました。\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e髪飾りというよりはお守りのように用いられていた棒が「髪挿し（かみざし）」と呼ばれ、簪（かんざし）の語源とも言われています。\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e一方で、平安時代には、神事や饗宴の際に男女が自然植物の花や枝葉を頭髪に飾る習慣があり、\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eその「花挿し（かざし）」が簪（かんざし）に転じたという説もあります。\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e江戸時代に入ると、さまざまに技巧を凝らした結髪が登場します。\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e複雑かつ華やかになるに伴い、簪（かんざし）も、細身、幅広、楕円形などさまざまな形が作られました。\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e櫛、簪、笄の素材には、象牙や鼈甲、馬爪、金・銀、牛角や馬爪（ばず）、黄楊（つげ）、竹、ガラス、珊瑚、瑪瑙（めのう）、翡翠（ひすい）、金工品、セルロイド\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eなど多岐にわたる素材が用いられました。\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e漆、蒔絵、螺鈿、象嵌、透し彫り、カットガラス、ガラス絵、ビーズなどの装飾方法も施され、\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e多種多様な櫛、簪（かんざし）、笄（こうがい）が作られるようになりました。\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e櫛、簪（かんざし）、笄（こうがい）は女性のおしゃれの必需品となっていきます。\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e1700年代には、現在でも一部に見られる、先端に耳かきのついた簪（かんざし）が登場します。\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eその理由は、贅沢を禁止した発令がたびたび出される中、簪（かんざし）に耳かきを付けることで、\u003cbr
