0115　Japanese porcelain "aburatsubo"　油つぼ　行燈皿

「油つぼ」は、江戸時代に髪油を入れる容器として作られた小形の壺です。
1640年ごろから製作され、明治期（1868年～）に西洋の文明が入ってきて、制度や習慣が大きく変化し、髪型も洋髪が普及しました。
その為、整髪用油の使用が減少し、入れ物であった「油つぼ」も生産されなくなりました。
江戸時代には、庶民に密着していた「油壺」が大正時代（1912年～）になるとほぼ生活の中に見られなくなっています。

The "Aburatubo" is a small jar made in the Edo period as a container for hair oil.
It was produced around 1640 and was widely used by the common people in the Edo period regardless of their status.
With the introduction of Western civilization in the Meiji era (1868-), the systems and customs changed drastically, and Western hair became popular.
As a result, the use of hair conditioning oil has decreased, and the "Aburatubo" that was the container has also ceased to be produced.
"Aburatsubo", which was closely related to the common people in the Edo period, has almost disappeared from life in the Taisho era (1912-).
